School-Age Positions
Group Leader positions are ideal for college students, elementary school aides / paraprofessionals, or anyone with experience working with school – age children. MELC offers flexible shifts that can accommodate any schedule, before school only, after school only or before and after school shifts are available. This is a part time position; hours range from 10 – 25 hours per week.
Senior Group Leader positions require experience working with children and supervising staff. Responsibilities include assisting the Program Manager with the overall management of a MELC school site, family communication, and the supervision of part time staff in the absence of the Program Manager. Senior Group Leader positions range from 25 – 37.5 hours per week.
Program Manager positions require professional experience educating children and the completion of early childhood, elementary education or child development coursework. Responsibilities include the overall management of a MELC school site, curriculum development, family communication and supervision of staff. Program Managers positions are full time.
Preschool Positions
Teacher Assistant positions are ideal for those looking to build a career in the early childhood field or those who love making an impact in a young child’s life. Teachers Assistants in our preschool program must be working towards a degree in early childhood education or already have an associate degree in the field. Hours range from 10 – 37.5 hours per week.
Lead Teacher positions requires the completion of early childhood, elementary or child development coursework and experience working with preschool children. Responsibilities include assisting the Head Teacher with the overall management of a classroom, family communication and the supervision of part time staff. Lead Teacher positions are full time.
